Bio3 España is a Spanish company dedicated to the research, development and manufacturing of natural products and dietary supplements based on medicinal plants, vitamins and minerals for health care and diet.

With this purpose was born in Ponferrada (León), the pharmaceutical laboratory of Bio3 Spain, more than 50 years ago.

As an independent family company, we are proud of our values and know-how. The bio3 brand is the proof that we never compromise on quality, and it is also a recognition of the support and trust that our customers have placed in us since 1966.

The bio3 brand is unique because it integrates the knowledge of plants, the innovations of our team of pharmacists, biologists and nutritionists, and the commitment of our family to ensure that bio3 products remain the reference in medicinal plants around the world.

Since then, our efforts have been oriented to offer natural health care products with maximum efficacy and quality standards subject to the strictest European regulations.

Our products are leaders in the market of medicinal plants,
food supplements and natural remedies.

History

El Bierzo has always been a place of passage and mixture of cultures. Founded in the nearby city of León by the Romans as a camp for one of their legions, the gold mines of Las Médulas and the Silver Route brought to Ponferrada the great medical knowledge inherited from Greek and Roman culture.

In the Middle Ages, a time of epic and religion, the Way of St. James took shape, crossing the whole of Christian Europe and making Ponferrada one of its main stops.

In the year 1178, the Templars, advanced connoisseurs of the sciences and medicine of their time, settled in Ponferrada and built a fortress to protect and heal the pilgrims.

Thousands of pilgrims, from kings to servants, have crossed El Bierzo, traveling the Camino for centuries, being faith and medicine based on natural remedies, their great sustenance.

All this knowledge and tradition in the use of Medicinal Plants are the ones that have constituted the germ of our company.

In 1998, the bio3 brand was born, within the Biodes group (now bio3 Spain), with the mission of developing a new line of products for the Self-Care of Health.
